The Science of Sports
Playing sports is important for developing physical abilities and maintaining our health, but what really happens in our bodies when we exercise? And how do these processes manifest when we are in motion?
This workshop is all about getting to know what makes us walk, run, and jump. Each session will focus on a different system in the body: heart-lung, muscle, posture and the core, and the nervous system.
The sessions will begin with a short, 15-20-minute workout, after which we will examine and analyze the sporting activities we performed both theoretically and practically. This way we can use our firsthand experience to understand which systems in the body participated in the exercise and how it affects our health.
