Accessibility Statement

The Davidson Institute for Science Education is working hard to make its services accessible to people with disabilities in order to meet their unique needs and ensure equal and respectful treatment, independence and safety for the general public.

The Institute operates in accordance with the requirements of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Law, 5758-1988 and the regulations enacted thereunder.

The Institute operates according to the accessibility guidelines in the Israeli Standard 5568 - "Guidelines for Internet Content Accessibility" to Level AA. This Israeli standard is identical to the guidelines  -  Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

Please note that despite our efforts to make all pages accessible on the site, parts of the site may not be accessible.

We continue our efforts to improve the accessibility of the site as part of our commitment to enable it to be used for the entire population including people with disabilities.

Means of Accessibility:

  • Standard - the site is supported by most popular browsers in its latest version.
  • Magnify the display on the site - users who have trouble seeing and want to zoom in on the site can do so by simultaneously pressing the "Ctrl" and "+" buttons. To minimize the display press the "Ctrl" and "-" buttons simultaneously.
  • Operating the site with a keyboard - surfers who have difficulty rusing a mouse can browse the site using the keyboard. Repeatedly pressing Tab will move between the various links on the page. Pressing Enter will activate the highlighted links.
  • Support for Assistive Technologies - this site is accessible to people with disabilities and supports screen reading software. To verify the accessibility of the site content, the site has been tested with the software called NVDA.
