Prism for High School

Discover what scientists and researchers are currently focused on, enhance the theoretical content learned in class with hands-on experience, and carry out research activities for your chemistry finals

The Davidson Institute of Science Education is proud to introduce the new curriculum for science classroom activities – Prism. Each Prism has its own set of unique aspects. All you have to do is choose which one is right for you.

Are you a high school science teacher? The Davidson Institute of Science Education has created three diverse and rich prisms perfect for your students. By pursuing their activities, you and your students can experiment with special materials and work with advanced equipment, thus combining research, game-based learning, and rich activities – all in favor of facilitating significant learning.

The activities are facilitated by the Davidson Institute's scientific-pedagogical team, assisted by graduate students from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

The high school prism spectrum includes:

  • Red Prism – Science's Big Questions: lab Activities that focus on one of today's "hot" topics in the science world.
  • Yellow Prism – A Window to Cutting Edge Science: lab activities that enhance practical experiences and expands on the curriculum
  • Purple Prism – Chemistry Matriculation Lab Research Activities: mandatory research activities required as part of the five-point-level matriculation for chemistry majors.
