Future for Science

A unique scientific after-school program for gifted 7th grade students from the Arab sector who are enthusiastic about science.

The Davidson Institute for Scientific Education, the educational branch of the Weizmann Institute of Science, in collaboration with the Future Scientists Center, invites you to join “Future for Science”, a unique program that breaks social barriers. The program is intended for gifted 7th grade students of the Arab sector, who are enthusiastic about science.

In this program, the students will get exposed to diverse and advanced scientific fields that are usually excluded from regular school curriculum, such as Earth and planetary sciences, neuroscience, experiential mathematics and more. In addition, we will get to know a new field called computational science, which combines science with mathematics and programming and enables us to predict the solutions of complex scientific problems.

In addition to the scientific topics, the uniqueness of this program is manifested in the practice of skills that are important and useful for the students’ everyday lives. Together we will cover public speaking, critical questioning, critical and creative thinking and more.

In “Future for Science” we provide the students with rich worlds of content that match their interests, as well as with inspirational role models. We practice special teaching methods that allow students to experience the program in an active, social and most importantly - enjoyable way.
