Yarden completed his MSc in analytical chemistry magna cum laude at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the supervision of Prof. Eli Grushka. His thesis centered on the computational optimization of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separations of dideoxynucleotides.

He developed and authored a series of textbooks on scientific thinking for 1st-6th grade students, called “BeMabat Hadash” (“A New View”), for Ramot Ltd. at Tel Aviv University.

Yarden also developed and taught a course on computer applications for chemistry teaching at Hebrew University’s School of Education. Prior to that, he taught chemistry at the Israel Arts and Science Academy high school and at the Denmark High School, both in Jerusalem. He also served as an afterschool activity instructor for gifted children at the Society for Excellence through Education.

While working for Cli-Connect Multimedia Systems Ltd., Yarden directed and developed multimedia projects for various hi-tech companies.
