An Island of Stability

Experiential activity for preschool children

This fun-filled activity teaches children about stability, balance, and center of gravity. Participants take a guided interactive tour in the Science Park, where they operate exhibits through which they will learn about the various effects related to balance and stability.

They will also experience equilibrium in different ways, learn what a center of gravity is and how to increase stability. In addition, the children will learn how to make (and taste!) scientific ice cream using liquid nitrogen.

All activities are facilitated by Science Garden instructors. 

Audience:

Preschool children and preschool teachers, who want their class to experience and learn about science in a fun-filled way that exposes them to various phenomena in the field.

 

Time:

By appointment only, during regular business hours and between 9:00-11:30 or 10:00-12:30.

 

Place:

In the Science Garden of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot.
