All about Water

Experimental activity for grades 1-3

This activity introduces the children to water through a guided interactive tour of the Science Garden's exhibits. The children see water in its three aggregation modes and discover their properties through experiments.

A hands-on workshop allows the children to learn about the phenomenon of water surface tension and how soap affects the surface tension. In addition, they will make a foam machine which they can take home to continue playing and exploring.

All activities are facilitated by Science Garden's instructors.

 

Audience:

For the 1st-3rd grades and for teachers who want their class to experience and learn about science in a fun-filled way that exposes them to various phenomena in the field, all in line with the school curriculum.

 

Time:

By appointment only, during regular business hours; between 9:00-12:00 or 10:00-13:00. (Activity is pproximately 3 hours).

Place:

In the Science Garden, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot.
