Introduction to Electricity

How do you build speakers? What turns an iron nail into a magnet? Can you really use a potato as a battery? This adventure proves that power is at your fingertips.

Almost everywhere we go, we are surrounded by electricity and it's hard to imagine life without it. But what is "electricity"? What exactly runs through the various cables, wires, and devices that make up our daily lives, and how does it make them work?

This workshop explores these issues and attempts a few crazy experiments, like turning fruits and vegetables into batteries, making a magnet out of an iron nail, and to top it all off – we will harness electricity and the principle of magnetism to build a speaker.
