Biotech Program

An enzyme that's produced by bacteria which efficiently breaks nerves? Can fuel can be produced using bacterial enzymes? Students research these questions and others

The Biotech Program at the Davidson Institute enables high school students majoring in 5 matriculation units of Biotechnology to do a research project that will challenge them and expose them to biotechnology. The project allows students to experience cutting-edge science and research at the Weizmann Institute by active and profound learning through research.

The Davidson Institute of Science Education offers biotech teaching in its laboratories. As part of the biotech program at the Davidson Institute labs, graduate students from the Weizmann Institute of Science, the faculty of the Davidson Institute and biotechnology teachers will co-teach the students throughout their biotech project.
